Better than goyf? I guess on turn 10 it doesn't come out as a 5/6 but if it lives for a turn or two...

I was thinking about this card for a while, I didn't really look at what black and green permanents are out there, but what works well with it?

The one's worth mentioning are Doran, Creekwood Liege, Quillspike, Odious Trow (he does only cost one), Necrogenesis, Sprouting Thrinax, and Woodlurker Mimic.

I honestly think it's not that great. Yea, it's getting counters ability is tizzight, but it's going to die to burn, terror, etc.

Jund Ramp seems like a good place for it. Turn one Ooze, turn two bitterblossom or ramp. turn three garruk / bitter blossom or some 3 drop green spell. The ooze is really only a turn 3/4 threat even if it hits on turn 1. In that regard figure of destiny is still way better. But again, If it doesn't get killed.... Of course If I have a forge tender on board I may just let it live!
