As long as this is the most expensive card in your deck, you can do some cool things at the end of your opponent's turn. Though the randomness might bite you in the ass.

limited this is great, you kill a creature (always good) and then maybe get a freebee. Excellent in my book. (I wrote a book by the way)

The potential to kill a creature then get one for free seems good.

Im sorry, I misread this (Thought it was top 4 cards for some reason)... You don't maybe get a freebie, you do get a freebie. This card is great. Expecially since I hate drawing 2 drops on turn 10... I would much rather get to play it for free and get it out of my way.

This is really cool. I don't know if this card in particular will see constructed play, but I bet there are some cool cards with Double Cast that do see play. The mechanic is just nuts.

Since the ability triggers when the spell is played, Double Cast will still happen if the spell is countered.

I by no means completely know all of the rules, but it seems like you can't play a sorcery or creature with the Double Cast.

Last I knew you could only play a creature, sorcery, artifact, and enchantment when the stack is empty.

The ability should allow you to play any card you get as long as the mana cost is less

You can play non-instants with Double Cast. It's similar to the ability on the hideaway lands.
