this could easily read. cip: skip the main phases of your next two turns then take two turns every turn.

And just think how crappy it's going to be to pump it up to level 7 and have it eat a kill spell.

Has Llorwyn been gone so long that we forget Figure of Destiny? I know, i know you can't Level Up at instant speed. But the process can be paced easier by investing a little here and a little there. I almost look at a guy like this as a "Oh crap I better find an answer for this or it could get out of hand!!!!" type of card. Few blue here, few blue there and before you know it, you're taking a bunch of extra turns! 2 mana for a 1/3 is not a bad deal in a format where aggro seems to be the benchmark. I could see a scenario like this...
         T2 play this guy.
T3 drop a land and level him to 2, save 2 for a counter
T4 level him to 4 save 2 mana for a counter
t5 level him to 7, still saving 2 mana for a counter, and you're off to the races. Oh - and with a grip full of cards because you didn't have to play any other threats! Granted you may have to deal with a few of your opponents threats along the way, but the point is that you only have to invest your extra mana, not all of it.
I personally think these guys are the bomb as they are relevant both early and late, are flexible, and in (at least this case) must be dealt with before they go bonkers!

I kind of like the level up ability. It has a nice RPG flavor to it.

Only problem, Josh, is on T3, you have to level him to level 1 to save 2 for a counter. T4, Level 3, save for counter. T5, level 6, save for counter.

I like how late game they are really really awesome. I honestly don't want to see these guys early in the game.

Chapin likes this guy. Josh feels vindicated.
