| | Best way to acquire a playset | I've been considering the ways that I could acquire a playset of conflux. I could go to starcitygames/ebay/whatever and just preorder the 4x sets, but that costs more than 500 dollars. I don't want to do that, especially because it takes the fun out of opening packs. However, I could just buy a case of Conflux. It costs about 100 dollars less than the 4x set, and I'm pretty much guaranteed to get all of the commons and uncommons. My concern is with the rares. With 192 packs to open, and with 10 Mythics and 35 other rares, that means I'll get 24 mythics and 168 other rares, or something like that. I could possibly trade my bulk cards away for what I'm missing too. I am just wondering you what everyone's opinion is that is a collector, wondering what the easiest way to get a playset is.

| As an avid collector of playsets myself, I have some a few suggestions.
First off, I think through simple drafting and playing of sealed you can get a pretty complete 4 set of the commons and uncommons. Then You can ebay for the Rares in 4 sets.
Of course it also depends upon the time frame in which you want to aquire this 4 set. If you want it immediately, you can go with either the buying the case / or buying the 4 set from places like starcity. Star city will give you an extra hole to poop out of, if that is the way you go. I think that buying the case maybe nice because It will inevitable give you multible playsets of all the commons, and maybe an extra set or two of uncommons which you could try to sell. Also the Extra rares, if you do get any, then you can also sell those. Also you could sell foils.
If you don't need the fourset for a couple of years, then just wait, and eventually 95% of the rares you will be able to buy 4 sets of for $1 on ebay.
You could also Shop hop for a week or two, and try to trade / buy up any rares you may still need.

| The first thing you have to do is scour the spoiler (when it is complete) in order to find out what you actually want. There will be many rares, some uncommons, and a ton of commons that you just won't want a playset of. I think one of the best (and cheapest) ways to get playsets of everything is to go ahead and order a 4x set of all the commons and uncommons, which is usually fairly cheap (if StarCity still does that on pre-orders). After that you can just straight out purchase most of the other rares you want. Overall this should be one of the cheapest routes.
