Wordly Counsel is a weaker version of Impulse, but could still be pretty good in Extended. Fusion Elemental could be playable in an elemental deck, but it seems much weaker than Horde of Notions for the same casting cost.

Fiery Fall - a way for red to search for mana. Looks interesting.

Well this block reminds me even more of Invasion block now that they are doing spells based on the number of land types you have in play but still interesting. That 8/8 elemental dude for one of each color of mana is interesting but with Horde of Notions still in Standard it may not get played much.

I wish that Obelisk of Alara only cost like 4 mana. It would be soooo much better. However, all of those abilities wrapped into one is very cool.

The sedraxis alchemist has a pretty neat ability for a 2/2 black creature.

For anyone who doesn't know worldly counsel is a reprint from Invasion so does anyone think the other domain cards will show up?

I defer to the expertise of a far more knowledgable Transformers geek.
Exotic Orchard is basically Fellwar Stone as a land. It should be very good with all the Vivid Lands and Reflecting Pools out there. I wonder if it will produce all 5 colors of mana if an opponent controls a Reflecting Pool ut no other mana producing lands. Is the potential mana production from the Reflecting Pool sufficient?

I dont think so. Reflecting Pool only produces what other lands you control could produce. But, if a player controls just a Reflecting Pool with no other lands, Exotic Orchard produces nothing.

         T: Add G,W,or U to mana pool.

         Also...
         3RRR
         Creature-Dragon
         Flying
When this comes into play, discard your hand. Target player/opponent sacrifices creatures equal to the number of cards discarded.

Hmm, cheaper white, balck and blue versions of Icy Manipulator, Disrupting Scepter, and Jaymede Tome. It will be intersting to see if these are actually played. With the reduced casting/activation costs, each seem playable. These were among the best artifacts in the game in the early days of Magic. Those of us who used to play the Weissman Deck have an enduring fondness for Jaymede Tome and Disrupting Scepter.

Apparently, some info has been released for Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker.

         CC: 4UBBR
         +3: Destroy target noncreature permanent.
-?: Gain control of target creature. (don't know if it is permanent.)

His other ability is said to be more broken than Cruel Ultimatum, but its cost is -9. No info on starting loyalty. And there are speculations that he may have more than 3 abilities.

Path to Exile seems even better than Swords to Plowshares in an environment in which no one plays basic lands. Unlike Condemn it does not require the creature to be attacking.

I guess but he would be the only Planeswalker above the 5 mana mark right? Maybe if he has 8 Loyalty counters when he comes into play then resolving his big ability will be easier.

it sounds like his first two abilities are going to be...
         (+3) destroy target non-creature permanent
(-2) gain control of target creature

they aren't saying what the last ability is or how many loyalty counters he gets but the last ability will cost -9

Josh, I believe you are correct on the second ability. I think his starting loyalty will be 5 or 6 since is first ability is +3. And Martin, wouldn't you pay 8 mana for something more game-changing than Cruel Ultimatum?

Of course Path to Exile is better than Condemn or Swords To Plowshares. Being to remove a creature whenever and not giving them life. They get a tapped basic land... eh.

How about Telemin Performance as a replacement for Bribery? Also opponents who don't play a lot of creatures could get decked easier.

What happens if you play Telemin Performance and your opponent doesn't have any creatures? Would it end in a draw because the spell never resolves? Or can you say that you failed to find a creature, and put all cards into their graveyard?

Target opponent reveals cards from the top of his or her library until he or she reveals a creature card. That player puts all noncreature cards revealed this way into his or her graveyard, then you put the creature card into play under your control.

The player reveals no creatures, puts all noncreatures cards revealed into their graveyard, and no creature comes into play on your side. Basically they are decked. When they draw next round they better have a way to save them self or they lose.
