yes it is my son's first. He is disinterested. Yes, and sorry Zack, what i meant was happy Winter Solstice. By the way Catholics get to go to hell when they do bad things. Like lie about christmas.

Some people don't observe the Winter Solstice at this time of year. It's the middle of summer in Australia. I am deeply offended.

Im going to have this site shutdown for the sheer amount of vulgar, offensive material.

Winter solstice isn't something to 'observe' Christian! It's like wishing someone a happy Tuesday. It happens. Geez Loueez! and Australians are having there summer solstice. So they can party too; just with more sunlight.

Actually several religous sect, most notably Celtic druids, observed the solstices as important religous days. Once again I am outraged by the anti-druid religous intolerance running rampant on this site.

I prefer the Amaterasu celebration, Requiem of the Dead
"In late seventh century Japan, festivities were held to celebrate the reemergence of Amaterasu or Amateras, the sun goddess of Japanese mythology, from her seclusion in a cave. Tricked by the other gods with a loud celebration, she peeks out to look and finds the image of herself in a mirror and is convinced by the other gods to return, bringing sunlight back to the universe."
Kind of reminds me a groundhog tradition.

Lol, I just got a foil master of etherium and a Tezzeret, the Seeker for christmas today. Good to be a kid who still gets Christmas presents! For different Christmas traditions I know some for Venezuela. Children used to tie strings to their big toes and hang them out the window when they went to sleep at night in the Christmas season. Then, when people walked by if they saw the string they would give it a tug to wake them up. And they roller skate to mass sometimes!

Zoroastrians also observe the winter solstice. It is viewed as the zenith of Ariman's (lord of entropy and darkness) power, as the days are at their shortest. With each subsequent day, Ahura Mazda's (the creator and embodiment of light) power grows stronger.
