| League play at the Horse |         Hey everybody I am going to try a sort of league play at the Horse starting Saturday Feb.14th at the 11a.m. start times. These leagues would only be $5 to play and it would be grab bag sealed deck. I will give everybody 4 (or 5 if I have time) grab bags of 15 cards each and you build a 40 card deck out of them. I will keep track of points for these tournaments on the website but also I will keep them seperate by hand for the months of February and March. The only time we will not have these events is on special Saturday events such as Saturday Feb.7th which is the store release for Conflux and all-rare sealed or draft events(which there may be a all-rare sealed on the last Saturday in Feb.). This is a chance for people to play on equal ground with people who have a much larger card base or more financial resources and most of the cards I will put in the grab bags will be extended or standard legal so even if you don't win the grand prize at the end of March you can still build your card pool for a relatively cheap price. I put a poll up for what you guys want the grand prize to be and I want to know how many people are willing to show up for this. Also I will start giving out the packs at 10:45 so people will have some time to build decks but if you show up at 11:30 it will be too late. Also there will not be finals for these events we will just play 3 or 4 rounds until 2 p.m. rolls around and then start that tournament so if that bothers some people it may not be the format for you.

|         That sounds like a fantastic idea! Putting up 100 dollars is probably the best prize, in my opinion. Not only does everyone like money, but it could give those people(Joey, Zack, etc.) that don't have the resources, or desire to keep the resources, a reason to play more often, especially because it is a sealed format.

|         I'm thinking that I'm either going to show up on Tuesday OR Saturday morning, but not both. But thats just me.

|         I decided to go with the store credit idea. Ben, I do realize that 100 greenbacks are good, but I believe that store credit will be better to increase the card pool of players. Since I personally don't have to pay for anything, store credit would be better for me. |

|         Again, what about those players that sell off all of the cards whenever they get them?

|         Store credit is a idea, I figured people might use the cash for a few cards they really need and keep the rest but I see your point Ben about people selling their cards off. I will probably not buy back too many of the cards from the sealed pool this way I won't keep recycling the exact same card pool over and over I think that would get old real quick. And just because they are grab bags doesn't mean I won't put in highly playable rares, uncommons and commons so don't worry about that.

|         Is this going to be $5 each week with new cards each week?

|         Yep, hopefully I can keep up the pace of all those grab bags! I thought about recycling all the cards every week but I just think that would be boring so I will make new ones each week. Of course you might see some duplicates from week to week but hopefully not too many.

|         Well I'm there anyways so I guess I'll play.

|         I think it should be in cash, not store credit.
