I went 6-4 in the Standard 5K. Mike went 4-3. Overall, I probably should have went 7-3. I made a few mistakes. There were really only 2 matchups that I should have lost. I played 5CC 3 times, Jund Ramp 2 times, 2 versions of Bant, 1 Grixis Control, and 2 R/W Lark decks. I beat the 5CC all three matches, lost to both of the Jund Ramps, went 1-1 against the Bant decks, beat the Grixis Control, and went 1-1 against the R/W Larks. I was playing 5C Planeswalkers. I should have only lost to the 2 Jund Ramp decks. I had the ability to beat the R/W Lark and Bant decks that I also lost to, but play mistakes made me an unhappy camper. I also failed to put Swerve or Wild Ricochet in my board, so Banefire made me a sad panda. I definitely suggest to anyone that plays a Standard constructed tournament to run at least 2 of those cards in your 75 somewhere. Banefire is big. Really big. You have to have a plan against it or you lose. The thing that I really liked however, was that the format is so diverse now. It used to be about 3-5 decks that always won. Now it's about 10 decks that have the ability to win.

We didn't play in the PTQ because we wanted extra sleep, so we did a side draft and sucked it up. I lost in the draft because I forgot to pay for Wild Leotau's upkeep. Suck!

Do you have any idea which deck won the Standard 5k?

BTW, there were 432 people at the Standard 5k. I believe I broke the top 75. Woot!

How about that G/W Overrun deck? Martial Coup & Overrun in the deck.

I don't believe I ever saw that deck run, but it seemed pretty awesome!
