It's a nice card to see back. Combo decks are pretty nonexistent in Standard though, so I don't see it being particularly useful. I guess Bant decks could play him, but Gaddok Teeg seems just as good, if not better. It should see play in Extended, however.

Guess that explains why a couple people asked me if I had Meddling Mage's. Truth is I think I have had one copy of this guy ever and that was years ago!

Spirit Monger would be nice. Armageddon would also be welcome.

Love to see Pernicious Deed back but I doubt it.

Pernicious Deed would be ridiculous in Standard right now.

Bring back Glittering Wish, it would be soooo much more playable now (not that it sucked before)!

Is what in ARB? and what does ARB mean, because where I come from it stands for "Apparent Reason Boner" Like what the guy dancing with Shawn Johnson got on Dancing with the stars.

ARB is for Alara Reborn, Matt. Also, Glittering Wish, one of my favorite cards, is not in Alara Reborn thanks to the Orb of Insight.

So you saw a setlist of ARB already? Let me know where it is and I can spoil it here.

I don't have a list of the new set and probably never will until it comes out. Do you know what the Orb of Insight does?

I do not, but it sounds insightful.

It is very insightful. You type a word into the orb and it will tell you how many times that word appears in the set. That includes names, creature types, abilities, reminder text, and artists. (maybe even flavor text but idk). There were no hits for Deed, Spiritmonger, Vindicate and Wish. However, there were 2 hits for "meddling" and hits for the other words in its ability.

Wasn't there a stink a few years ago about Wizards olny allowing the Orb to show words from the new set(before the whole list was up on thier site) from just the spoiler cards?
Doesn't mean anything, since I doubt Deed and Spiritmonger will ever be made again.
