| | Discuss, please! | With the most recent PTQ results in the Standard format, I believe about 6 or 7 of the top 8 were token decks. Are token decks really that good, or have other decks not yet been developed that are better? I believe that cascade can have a gigantic impact on the metagame, but a deck has yet to evolve around it very well. So I pose another question. Is 5C going to have to cascade to win? Or is tokens just going to decimate the format?

| it still confuses me as to why pulse keeps getting talked about as a token murderer.... There are already cards that do that, and at instant speed. Pulse is of course great, but to religate it to token killer is silly to me.
And, if the token generation happens every turn, the removal can't keep up. I would need to look at the decks to get a better feel, but you can only fallout 4 times and if the tokens keep coming, what do ya do?
As far as cascade is concerned, It rocks, and will rock harder in the new Online formate kalidoscope (all cards, except land, have to be multicolored)

| There are two things to consider when looking at the 2 most recent PTQ top 8's. First, it is going to take time for new decks to develop out of the newest set. That's why we're only seeing splashes of the new cards and not completely new decks. They will come...
Second, notice that not a single Fae deck appears in these top 8's! Woot! Also notice that the newest top 8 has a Sanity Grinding deck in it. Way to go mill strategies!

| Token uses a wide range of tokens. Maelstrom Pulse can't take care of all of them at the same time.
