| Holy S*** Balls!!!!!!!!! |         Lotus Cobra         1G         Creature-Snake         Mythic Rare         Landfall- Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, you may add one mana of any color to your mana pool.         2/1                           Really Wizards? Really?         I'll cast my turn 3 Ultimatums now, thank you very much.         Imagine:         Turn 1 Forest, Noble Hiearch.         Turn 2 Fetchland, Tap Forest and Hierarch for Lotus Cobra.         Turn 3 Fetchland, Add black with cobra, sac both fetch lands getting 2 mountains. Add black and red with cobra. Tap forest and hiearch for green each. Tap Mountains for red. Cast Violent Ultimatum. Destroy all of their lands and or creatures.                  And I JIZZ IN MY PANTS!!!!!         What the eff! I'll take my 3rd turn Identity Crisis. Or Baneslayer Angel. Or Broodmate Dragon. Or.....you get the idea.

|         And he is a mythic rare right? How much money is this one going to sell for? You think $30-$40 range? I think it is possible. Even without a turn 3 Ultimatum this card can speed up Bloodbraid Elf and lots of other cards. Sure he can be killed easily enough but if they waste a kill spell on him then you still have plenty of other threats later.

|         I just checked and the pre-sale price on Ebay is now $90 for a playset of them, it may go up once people put this one in some decks.

|         It is mythic so I can see it staying around $20-$25 at least.

|         He should be pretty awesome in Eternal formats, particularly when combined with Fastbond.

|         Comparable to other famous two drops (Dark Confidant, Wild Mongrel, etc).

|         Zack, I'm pretty sure you're completely wrong on this one. And I'm sorry, but this guy is just SOOO much better than Dark Confidant or Wild Mongrel ever was in the right deck. When those guys were in the Standard format, you couldn't even remotely get something as spectacular and game-winning as a third turn Ultimatum. Not only can his ability win you the game, but he is a MUST DEAL WITH creature, leaving you open to playing, say a Baneslayer when they just used their removal on my 2/1. Does anybody remember the card Black Lotus? Every single time you play a fetch land, it's like playing a Black Lotus with this guy in play. Only this time, you get to choose 3 different colors of mana if you wanted, and not just one color for the 3 mana. Can anybody tell me how much a Black Lotus effects a game? Anybody?

|         I pretty much agree with you Ben, although the 3rd turn Ultimatum will happen about 1% of the time but a 2/1 body on this guy makes him a threat if you get Bloodbraid Elf on turn 3 plus some other haste creature with the cascade you can swing for at least 8-9 damage that turn. I also think this card is going to be worth money because it is a mythic rare and playable and it has Lotus in it's name and Lotus in a card's name always equals a little extra value.

|         Absolutely. Turn 2 this guy, turn 3 harrow wouldn't be too uncommon, and you can ramp to cards like that 8/8 uncounterable guy and identity crisis.

|         Identity Crisis would be real nice! At least there will be a 4 mana Wrath card so if you just ramp into a bunch of creatures your opponent still has a chance to clear the board.

|         Ben, you are right on the money. This snake is going to have a huge impact on Standard. Cards like Harrow and the new fetch lands just sweeten the deal.                 Also important to note that this cobra's ability stacks; ergo, multiple Lotus Cobras will net extra mana.

|         Kind of wrong on the whole Black lotus with one fetchland thing ben. Black Lotus dosen't cause you to tap a land to get the 3 mana. The land you fetch must be tapped to get the 3 mana.

|         I'll admit, this card is good and can cause some combos, but fragile ones. The ultimatum just got Spell Pierced, so now what? There will be people trying to make a great combo deck, but I'll be fine just to use it in a U/G control for acceleration. I do like the part about the Terra Stomper though. So, in all it is powerful but its combo ideas can be fragile at times.

|         You just brought up a great point Paul about Control... I got 1 fetch in play, and you play something that hurts, so I can fetch some kind of island and counterspell. Suprise! I hope i see a few of these in the thieves auctions I win!

|         Kind of wrong, Zack? Since when is only using one resource to get 3 mana not a black lotus?

|         The entire time I've been talking about this guy is in the best case scenario. Think about him in just your average aggro deck. Whats so bad about playing Ranger of Eos plus a Wild Nacatl on turn 3?

|         Oh, and please don't compare this guy to Tarmogoyf. He's not Tarmogoyf and no card will probably ever be as good. You can easily compare this guy to Rofellos, though. Insane ramp. Thats all he is on a 2/1 body. Probably not the 30-40 dollar rare that everyone thinks at this moment in time, but he can easily settle around 20. He will be a tournament staple, no doubt.

|         Rofellos is awfully good, and the Lotus Cobra is definitely in the same league.
