| | St. Louis | So a large group of us went down to the StarCity Open, and it wasn't completly terrible, Josh finished the highest of all of us at 6-2-1 after a 5-0 start. I finished at 6-3, and Steve ended 4-4 before he dropped. I was honestly happy with my deck choice and don't think I could have played any diffrently for a better record. My only change would be that I would have liked 2 ruinblaster in the board over two Thornling, but that would have just been for the jund mirror, and I only lost one when it wouldn't have mattered.
Matches:
R1: Jund mirror, no problems.
R2: U/W Control, won in three.
R3: U/W Control, saw alot of land in game three, lost.
R4: U/W Control w/ Mirage, Seas and Cascade, won in three.
R5: Jund mirror, Stuck on 4 G3 with 3 Bit Blast and a Thornling in hand.
R6: Next Level Bant, rolled in 2.
R7: Boss Naya, Outcreatured him, won in 3.
R8: R/G Tokens, saw no resistance until late game two he drops thornling, I just lose a creature to t every turn and get there.
R9: Esper. It was an interesting deck, made by Connely Woods from channelfireball.com, he let his buddy (my opponent) borrow it the night before. Ran Esper control cards, with a metric shitton of land and Baneslayer/Abyssal Persecutor. Both games I brought him low and he stabilized and won.
I would love to see a match report from josh. Thanks to everyone who lent out cards for the horse players to play down there.

| Jen decided to " FIX " our computer the week before the event and instead ended up killing it! We spent about 2 weeks without internet and I had 2 dip into my 5K money 2 fix the computer! I wanted 2 be there, as I knew about 25-30 of the people there. A group of players from down here went to the 5K as well. I had the conely woods esper deck built and was very excited about it. BUMMER! However, it was very good to see that you guys did so well! I was rooting all of you on, and when I checked in, Josh was 4-0. I decided to check in every hour after that to keep up with your progress. And josh, dont feel bad at all about losing to J, Pennik. He is an amazing player. ( he kicks my ass EVERY time that we play standard! )

| God damn Connely Woods and his esper. Both games I had that deck withing one turn of dying when he stabilized with Baneslayers and Persecutors. I had G2, until he esper charmed my Maelstrom Pulse and Terminate away.

| My version of the deck was similar to woods deck, but my deck wasnt as good. Espercharm is an amazing spell, I have wanted to play it for quite some time. The card is BETTER than blighting and sees almost no constructed play!!??
