         This would have been a great card to have back in Llorwyn block. I'm not sure if there are enough merfolk for it to matter in the current Standard.

         It wouldn't be bad vs. Mono-red, but i think I like Deft Duelist better in that role. He doesn't gain you life, but he keeps all their creatures at bay, except for Plated Geopede and possibly Hell's Thunder.
