|         I guess I'll be the one to go out on a limb and say that this card may not be to bad given that the format could slow down. He takes care of these crazy Eldrazi crits and could be the finisher in a dragon based deck, if the format slows and they release some titty ass dragons. Maybe side board for R\B that cant handle the indestructable Eldrazi. This limb feels shaky......

|         not even that.... playing cheap criters to accellerate? My birds just became a dragon. My elvish visionary just became a dragon. My whatever that has a pacifism or some other stupid enchantment just turned into a dragon. He may not be spectacular, but He is good enough. And if you could somehow pair him with new jace you can draw 2 extra cards a turn, one of which would hopefully be a land after the brainstorm.

|         I'm not sure the format will slow down much either. So far all I see is a bunch of cards too slow to be played in Standard. From what I have seen previewed so far, it looks like the same decks will remain dominant while splashing one or two cards from the new set, and the vast majority of cards will simply be unplayed outside of limited. Maybe this will change once more cards are spoiled.
